MultiLingual Technologies (“MLT,” “we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through our website and services, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our site or requesting a quote, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you request a quote, contact us, or send files, we collect details such as your name, email, phone number, company or organization, the nature of your request, and any documents or content you choose to upload.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect basic technical data such as your browser type, device, and pages visited, to keep the site secure and understand how it is used.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry, prepare quotes, deliver translation and interpreting services, communicate with you about your projects, and improve our website. We do not use the documents you send us for any purpose other than providing the service you requested.
Confidentiality
The documents and content you share with us are treated as confidential. Access is limited to the linguists and staff assigned to your project, every engagement is covered by confidentiality obligations, and for healthcare clients we operate HIPAA-compliant workflows for protected health information.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the professional linguists and staff needed to deliver your project, with service providers who support our operations under confidentiality agreements, or where required by law.
Data security
We protect your information with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and confidentiality agreements. See our Security page for more detail. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to protect your data.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide services, maintain business and legal records, and meet our obligations. When it is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
Cookies and analytics
We use two kinds of cookies.
Functional cookies are necessary for the site to work. They keep you signed in, remember your cart or form progress, and protect the site from abuse. You cannot turn these off without breaking those features.
Analytics cookies help us understand how people use the site: which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, and where they leave. We use Google Analytics for this. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and sends usage data to Google, which processes it on our behalf. We use it in a configuration that does not log or store your IP address and does not build advertising profiles. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell or share your personal information for advertising.
Analytics cookies are on by default for visitors in the United States and most other countries; you can turn them off at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the site footer. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland are asked before analytics cookies are set. If you opt out, we still count page views in a way that does not identify you. You can also block cookies in your browser settings or install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
Campaign links we publish may carry tags in the web address (for example utm_source) so we can tell which article or post a visitor came from. These tags do not identify you and set no cookie.
Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request a copy of it, to ask us to delete or correct it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is currently nothing to opt out of. Your choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us using the details below. We will respond consistent with applicable law.
