Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions teams ask most often about certified translation, interpreting, and language access. Have one that is not here? Talk to our team.

Are your certified translations accepted for official and legal use?

A certified translation is a complete, accurate translation paired with the translator’s signed statement of accuracy. Ours are authenticated and formatted for acceptance by courts, government agencies, USCIS, universities, and other institutions, every one delivered with that signed certification.

Will USCIS accept my certified translation?

USCIS requires a full English translation plus a signed statement that it is accurate and that the translator is competent to translate (8 CFR 103.2(b)(3)). Our certified translations are prepared to meet that standard and are used for green-card, visa, and naturalization filings. Final acceptance rests with the reviewing officer.

What’s the difference between a translator and an interpreter?

A translator works with written text; an interpreter conveys spoken language in real time. MLT provides both, certified document translation and on-demand phone, video, and on-site interpreting, so a single partner covers every format and setting.

How quickly can you turn around a project or connect an interpreter?

On-demand phone and video interpreting connects within seconds, around the clock. Document turnaround depends on length, complexity, and certification needs, share your files and deadline, and we’ll confirm a timeline with your quote.

Who provides HIPAA-compliant medical interpreting?

MLT does. Our medical interpreters work under HIPAA-compliant protocols and train to the 40-hour CCHI/NBCMI standard, connecting by phone or video in seconds so clinicians and patients understand each other in the moment.

Do you use AI or human translators?

Both, deliberately. BabelBee.ai produces an AI draft with an automated second-model QA pass, and our linguists review and approve before delivery. For legal, medical, and other high-stakes work, human review is always part of the process.

How many languages do you support?

Translation and interpreting across 300+ languages and dialects, including rare and indigenous languages. Have an unusual request? Ask, we’ll confirm availability quickly.

How is pricing determined, and how do I get a quote?

Pricing reflects language pair, volume, modality, certification, and turnaround. Send your documents or describe your interpreting needs, and we’ll return a clear, tailored quote, no obligation. Get a quote.
